This psa 8 33 Gehrig is in REA’s auction:
https://bid.robertedwardauctions.com...?itemid=185288 There is no disclaimer in the description but what is going on on the whole right hand side of the card? Is that a scan issue?

Looks to be a print defect .
Sometimes PSA will award high grades despite poor registration .

Yeah, the 'faded' area doesn't affect the copyright letters directly below it (or anything else for that matter), so that's a good indication it's not some sort of 'fade-out' scanner issue, but a print defect.
