What is the best way to scan both negatives and 35MM slides for quality positive images?
Thanks for any tips. Jeff

I've never done it, so I can't tell you anything specific, but one of my first scanners (an HP scanner) actually came with an attachment that allowed you to scan negatives. I never used it, so I can't attest to the quality, but you might start by looking for a scanner that comes with such at attachment.

Epson perfection scanners scan negatives well and you can get some real high resolution scans of cards. They have CCD sensor so they do well with slabbed cards. I have an older perfection 4490 and years later and thousands of scans later it still works well.
If the negative (or slide) is good the scan will be good. They cost around $175 I think for the V500, you could spend more but it's enough for what you want. |
