Default Classic Net54baseball lines

Hey Ya'll,
A couple board members and I were just discussing all time classic Net54baseball lines. Could be a fun thread. I think we need one....If some of these don't get you to smile then you need to have an attitude adjustment...Two recent ones that come to mind....

"I pay for my stuff 99% of the time."

"My eyes are better than a loupe"

Guys, if Shoeless Joe Jackson didn't wear shoes, how did he avoid getting spiked?

Thread: "Did my first crack and resubmit"

I can easily understand how this could happen. When my wife wakes up in the morning, she's a "2". By the time she's done getting ready to leave the house, she's a "5".

I'll most likely never be seen from again after this post so good luck with your collections.

I do not remember who posted the reply but the thread asked what do you collect other than cards. The reply was "ex-wives".

Not entirely sure if it was this board or another, but someone once started a thread wanting to purchase any and all Yogi Berra cards. Someone posted that they had a Berk Ross if the OP was interested. OP responded "No thanks. Only interested in Berra cards."

I remember that one well. It was over on the CU boards. But it's probably in the Top 3 of all-time classic lines over there.

Damn Jeff, you're still on Shoele$$ huh? Haha. Honestly, you kinda started it and he just finished it, emphatically

You probably should have just taken a flyer on that one and stayed away because you kinda got worked over. If it was a prize fight, your corner would have thrown in the towel. I actually felt bad for you for a minute. But I guess by messing with the bull, you got the horns.

BTW, I thought it was an awesome card in much better condition than the assigned grade, and if you still try to argue that, you can't. Even with the small crease or surface wrinkle or whatever it was determined. I'm just bummed I missed out on it.

We must not have been watching the same fight. I saw a guy unable to respond on the merits resorting to some pathetic vulgar insults that hopefully won't be tolerated here.

If this were a fight Shoeless would have been disqualified for fighting dirty.

You know what's funny? For a moment yesterday, I wondered if Mick and Glenn were the same person, with different usernames.

Bud:

Are you seriously telling someone they got worked over because "Shoeless" told him that he "****ed off to his Hal Chase cards?"

I could go on and on with the fallibility of an obviously troubled and dishonest person, but there is no need. Anyone with an ounce of credibility or ability to judge any modicum of character would know who the pathetic person was in that thread.

If you aren't the same person, I strongly suggest that you do not hitch your tricycle to that circus.

"Bud", um, Glenn is a liar and is strangely fixated on everyone's ass on Net 54. I could not care less about some piddly card of his -- I just don't appreciate liars on the BST.

The only thing he didn't lie about was his fixation on such things...

a few of the T206 folks sorting through their HOFers then asking us to show our Johnson.

folks who throw around phrases like 'between the Scylla and Charybdis',
'your approach to that set is so Kafkaesque', 'doesn't that Mowrey remind you
of that character in Proust's Remembrance of Things Past'----and then spell
'percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy' incorrectly.

all the best,

"Need a better Hooker"

There's a ton of Frank B's subject lines to choose from, but that subject line on B/S/T looking for a Bock Hooker upgrade is probably my favorite!

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.

There were probably a dozen others from that thread that would have fit here, too...
