100) CHARLES "KID" NICHOLS Government postcard signed TWICE including full name and nickname. Very rare in this form. Postmarked on the reverse March 25th, 1950. Written in response to address confirmation. Written entirely in his own hand. A pitcher from 1890-1906 for Boston, Cardinals & Phillies. He has the 7th most wins in Major League history 361. he died in 1953. $750.00
101) RABBIT MARANVILLE Government postcard. Blazing bold pencil signature. Postmarked on the reverse 11/18/1953. Played 1912-1935 Braves, Pirates, Cubs, Brooklyn & Cardinals , he was inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame in 1954. He died in 1954. $450.00
102) MICKEY COCHRANE Complete Personal Check dated Oct 2nd, 1959. Measures 6 1/4 x 2 3/4. No bank cancel stamps or perforations near the signature , a clean check. Considered one of the greatest catchers in baseball history. He played for the 1925-1937 Athletics & Tigers. He was inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame in 1947 he died in 1962. $275.00

Was once attached to a scrapbook and has black corner hindges on all four corners. Cubs catcher 1922-40 and league MVP in 1935. He was inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame in 1955. Did you know that Kid Nichols lived across the street from Casey Stengel, in Kansas City? According to a book I read, while they were neighbors, Nichols gave Stengel some advice regarding his behavior in the minor leagues.
