Hi all,
I know most of you are familiar with baseball signatures. I just saw this item on Fleabay and thought I would post it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1952-NBA-All...item27cfdfc43f This piece of chicken excrement is so horrible that they misspelled at least three names. One signature on the lower left is signed Frank Brain. Frank Brian played in that game. I doubt he would misspell his own name. Hall of Famer Dolph Schayes decided that this one time he would sign his name Dolf Schasy(?) or some such crap. In the upper left is the 'signature' of coach Red Auerbach and amazingly, he has signed his name using the exact same 'R' as Red Rocha in the lower left. Paul Walther in the lower right decided to sign 'Paul Wather'. Larry Foust, on the roster for the game, though he may not have played, did not sign the book. Stan Stutz, who played his last game in 1949 with the Baltimore Bullets signed this. His is the closest to a real signature and he may have lived in Mass. as he grew up in Worcester, 40 miles west of Boston. Notice how coach John Kundla (above Boston, next to Frank Brain) forgot how to spell. Andy Phillip, above second annual, also hesitated while signing his name. It is bad enough that this is even listed, but there are 3 knuckleheads bidding on this item at this moment, the high bidder has a feedback of 10,000+. I would like to think that he would have some kind of knowledge. Last edited by Michael B; 02-18-2013 at 12:49 AM. |

I didn't see this one in my searches. What a waste to a nice and rare program. Why the hell would you do this? It is all risk with such poor forgeries. They could have done just fine selling the program alone

Hi Jason,
I agree with you. This was a nice program, and I would guess worth quite a bit in undoctored form. It has been pulled, though I suspect it will resurface. I did sent them a message regarding the misspellings without pointing out which ones they screwed up. |
