I'm seeking opinions about a signed wartime snapshot of Joe Dimaggio I just picked up off eBay. I'm afraid it isn't what I hoped it would be. When it arrived, I was surprised by how large it was: 5x7 inches. Also, the non glossy paper reminds me of the stock used for second-generation George Burke photos. I took a chance on it because the seller, who has great feedback, guaranteed its authenticity. But the seller also thought he was selling a high school photo of Joe, which which he clearly wasn't. There's no question Joe is wearing a wartime jersey (I've attached a team photo I found online for evidence). My guess is it's a copy of a signed wartime snapshot, but I hope I'm wrong. I just can't imagine anybody writing so large. Any feedback is appreciated ...
