Up for sale today is a very rare 1925 W504 Universal Toy & Novelty - New York Yankees team card picturing HOF'ers, Babe Ruth (back row, second from right) & Lou Gehrig Rookie (front row, third from left) along with fellow HOF members, Miller Huggins, Waite Hoyt and Herb Pennock. This team photo actually depicts the 1923 Yankees end-of-season team which was Lou Gehrig's very first Major League Baseball season. For comparison purposes and player identifications, I have included a much larger photo from the M114 Baseball Magazine series from 1923 which is NOT included with this sale. This beauty is the first and only example to be graded by either PSA, SGC or BGS and has been deemed "Authentic" by Sportscard Guaranty Comapny, the industry leader in third-party grading.
