Default You know you are getting old when....

Got a contact on VCP and it said that he has an old card of Tommy John passed down to him by his grandfather. The guy did retire in 1989 and never realized it before but he did finish off with 288 wins.

Especially when I consider that I remember his dad's rookie year.

I knew I was getting old, when I was getting old.
After reading about Chapman and others, I'm grateful for it.
all the best,

I know I am getting old when

1. I scratch an itch and get a cramp.
2. I can't see what I am trying to read until I re-adjust the range at which I am viewing.
3. Kids in their 20s keep looking younger and younger.

These things happen frequently.

I am working with my son and a friend on his Eagle Scout project. It's hard labor, lots of augering holes and shoveling gravel. That has made me feel old to a degree, but even my 17 year old is sore after a hard day at it. The other day, I was talking to his friend who was lamenting how old his grandfather was...which is 8 years older than I am.

When we're getting ready for our annual fantasy football league called "Hall of Fame".

This year, it's HOF: Year 11.

That's old..

When I have to use my ever-increasing-present reading glasses to read the Factory line on T206 Sweet Caporal and Piedmont cards.... Bummer.

I was picking up my kid from school last week and overheard one of the teachers telling another one about a station that was "playing oldies...like Mariah Carey." She was dead serious.

Age is relative, I know. There is always somebody older and somebody younger.

You root for Jamie Moyer only because he's the only Major League player left that's older than you ....

You know your getting old when you actually saw Mantle, Maris, and Ford play in real life. One of the greatest things I ever did when I was young.
