Any recommendations on consigning an autograph program that contains a beautiful Roberto Clemente, Jim Umbricht, and many other 1960-1961 Pittsburg Pirate signatures. Anyone consigned anything signed to Legendary, or REA. An earlier thread of mine asked about the value and the consensus was the Clemente cut would be worth in the upper hundreds alone. I appreciate any advice. Thanks again, Michael

For something like that, I would recommend Legendary, H & S or Lelands. It's not high-end enough for SCP or REA (and they would not take it unless you "bundle" it with something else). Hunt's would probably want to put it in their monthly Internet/Phone Auction and Heritage would put it in their lower-end Weekly auction.
Best to go with Legendary, Lelands or Huggins & Scott... whoever gives you the best commission rate and/or can get your item in the soonest (assuming you don't want to wait forever to be paid). Editing to say that Premier is another good one (especially for mid-range autographs like these). Last edited by perezfan; 10-31-2011 at 07:27 PM. |
