The Spalding & Wilkins Manufacturing Co.

I picked up a Baseball Saddle Clamp in Hastings, Mi. and found this artical about the the above Company. Has anyone heard or seen anything about this Company. Where can I find out about Spalding Bat history. Thanks D.
