Player Collectors: Why?
For those of you who collect single players, why that/those player(s)?
I actively collect three, plus a bonus: Lefty O'Doul: Great back story, seemed to be a great guy, lots of cards from my favorite era.   Benny Leonard: The greatest of all Jewish fighters, great guy, lots of cards from my favorite era.  Joe Louis: IMO nudges out Ali as the greatest heavyweight of all time (Sugar Ray Robinson is the GOAT pound for pound--Mayweather isn't fit to sniff his crap). Astounding story to his life, lots of really difficult items to collect.  Julie Newmar: Schwing!
