Approximatley how many Piedmont Fact. 42 backed T206's are out there:
1. Graded 2. Raw 3. What series are they found in? 3a. Approx. when were they printed? 4. Is there a more dominate series than another? 5. Is there other backs that were printed in Fact.42? 5a. What are they? 5b. What series are they found in? 5c. Is there one of those series that are more predominant? I know its alot of questions but I have just been wondering more about this specific question for a while. Thanks for any help. Last edited by Pup6913; 08-17-2010 at 07:00 PM. |

Hi Andrew,
On the board there have been some ranking of the rare backs from T206 in other threads. The Piedmont 42 is on the list, so you can compare it's scarcity to other backs, such as AB 460, Cycle 460 or Hindu. I doubt anyone has figures for the number of graded or ungraded in circulation. I don't believe SGC or PSA keeps POPs for P42's separately. |

The last Piedmont 42 I got graded SGC put factory 42 on the flip.
These are a tough back and can be had at a reasonable price because of the Piedmont ad. Some dealers still sell these as regular Piedmont 206s. I found a couple at the last Philly show and they still show up on ebay.

The surveys we have conducted here on Net54 have shown that the Red Cobb is a DOUBLE PRINT with the PIEDMONT 460 factory 42.
Whereas, most of the 72 cards that were printed with the PIEDMONT 460 factory 42 back are equally represented, the red Cobb has consistently sampled at twice that number. ![]() ![]() TED Z |
