Help on a ball holder...

Looking for some help with finding the best autographed baseball holder! I'd definitely like to consider autograph protection, ball protection, the look of the holder, and the cost!

Any information will be helpful!

Note: ball will be fairly expensive so a case is a big deal for me!

I am in need of a really good ball holder too! I recently purchased a auto Ruth ball that is the cornerstone of my collection and would really love an opinion on the best holder/protection I can provide it.

I absolutely agree with William on this one. These Steiner glass cases are very nice and do a great job of presenting a vintage ball.

BTW, it should be mentioned that keeping the ball out of direct sunlight and UV rays is the best way to protect your prized possesion. Handle it carefully and infrequently as the oils in your hand can cause toning. Use white gloves or carefully hold the ball only on stitching. I always have employed the stitching method with my collection.

Got a quick question: Does anyone know whether heat hurts signed baseballs. Because i have my team signed ball in a cube displayed in my room and it gets hot sometimes and i've always wondered whether the heat does anything. The ball is in a plastic holder, still in its box and in a steiner case. Thanks

Heat, Light and Air...3 things we need to survive that you do not want your autographs exposed to. It really depends how hot your room gets; mostly it would be your extreme temperatures that would be harmful such as storing them in an attic.
