I'll kick this thread off with this superb 1952 vintage original TYPE I photograph of Rookie sensation Eddie Mathews just several weeks into what would be a stellar Hall of Fame career.

Not exactly vintage, but one of my favorite Braves items. Glavine signed ticket from '95 WS clincher. He would pitch 8 innings of 1 hit baseball to give Atlanta their first and only to date WS!

Here are a couple of gamers -- Warren Spahn and 1959 Eddie Mathews WS phantom bat, made by H&B late in the year when it looked like the Braves would win the pennant.

Die cut Milwaukee Braves catcher on wood, believed to be from the 57-58 pennant years.

Wouldn't that photo of young Eddie have looked great on a horizontal format 1952 Topps high-number?

Before racking up almost 2,500 wins as a legendary (and soon-to-be Hall of Fame) manager, Bobby Cox began his career as an infielder in the Dodgers organization.
Here is a 50-year-old old photo that measures about 3x3 and is from Bobby's personal collection. He said it was taken in his family's backyard the day he signed with the Dodgers as teenager in August 1959. Sorry for the light scan - the actual photo has great clarity and is awesome. |

Great month for Bobby and for me. Heck that photo may have been taken on the day I was born, 8/9/59. Fabulous photo!
Speaking of Bobby, how about a pair of tickets from his 2000th win as Braves manager. ![]() |

This one might be my best Braves Pennant... circa mid-teens and in amazing shape for its age...
