Sorry, couldnt figure out where to put this. I recently purchased a CD that has a few old baseball and football games, horse races, fights on it. I just think its awesome that after all these years we can still relive things through our imagination, which only radio can do. Radio painted a picture in the mind, and you were left to fill in the details.
Im listening to a Washington Senators/Indians game w Walter Johnson as one of the announcers and I just smile. Its so cool, pardon me for being like a kid, to hear him. Plus, he jokes about getting lost for a personal appearance the night before at a supermarket..haha. I wonder what all those peoples famililies did w any autographs Walter gave out that night ![]() |
