Southern California PCL Player Reunion, May 8
Saturday, May 8 is the day for the 25th Annual Southern California Pacific Coast League Baseball Player Reunion. The event will be held at the Carson Community Center, 801 E. Carson St (at Civic Center Drive) in Carson, California. Hours are 9 AM - 3:30 PM. Its actually 3 events in one. From 9-noon is socializing time and also to look at the exhibits (some items are available for sale) ; Noon to 1PM is the lunch (optional at $30, but must be preordered by Wednesday). From 1PM - 3:30 are introductions and presentations. The event attracts several former players, their families, fans, collectors and SABR members. There is no formal autograph session, although most players will graciously sign. Its one of the few 'time capsules' left in American sports.
