Here's another example of those great 1940s/50s Figural Baseball items... a seldom-seen pair of Baseball Planters. There is a Batter and a Fielder, and each is embossed "1846 Baseball".
It is thought that these were produced in 1946, commemorating the 100 year anniversary of the first professional baseball game ever played. Each is marked Napcoware on the bottom, and made in Japan. It is extremely rare to find these offered alone (much less together as a pair!) These could also easily be used as pencil holders, and would compliment any baseball memorabilia or figural collection. Condition is EX/MT for both, with no cracks, chips, touch-ups or other flaws of any significance. A rare opportunity to obtain this cool set in great condition... The price is $75 + $8 shipping for either one, or $125 + $13 shipping for the pair. Please contact me if you have any further questions and thanks! |
