For sale is a 1930 World Series Gambling ticket, for the series between the Philadelphia Athletics and the St. Louis Cardinals. This ticket was found when it fell out from between the back of an antique mirror and the mirror itself when the dresser that it was attached to was moved.
Of course gambling was illegal back in those days, just as it is today. I have determined that the name on the ticket of "Magic Comb" was the alias for the individual who was doing the betting, not wanting to use his real name due to the illegal nature of the activity. Look as you may, but you will never find such a unique piece of baseball history. Asking $250.00 for the ticket. Thanks, Scott |
