The original list I created to verify the existence of certain E121 cards did not include any card that I only possessed an 'ends in Eighty' variation example. I thought I would list those cards now to see if any of you collectors out there can verify the existence of the normal back of each of the following listed below. My thinking is that we can verify some other tough, possibly 'ends in eighty' only cards. By the way, I ended up with so many of the 'ends in eighty' cards strictly by luck...a larger group of E121's I picked up a few years back that were glued to lined paper had about thirty of this variation.
Here's the list that it would be great to confirm if the common back exists: "Rip" Collins Urban Faber (light uniform) "Mike" Gonzalez Harry Harper Wm. C. Jacobsen Hugh Jennings M.J. McNally Emil Meusel R. Meusel Elmer Miller Arthur Nehf Jack Quinn John Rawlings "Pat" Shea (must have " ") Tris Speaker (large projection) Brian |

"Rip" Collins Urban Faber (light uniform) "Mike" Gonzalez Harry Harper M.J. McNally R. Meusel Elmer Miller Jack Quinn John Rawlings "Pat" Shea (must have " ") Thanks again, and keep them coming! Brian |

Brian,
If I am reading this thread correctly, Kevin's example of Faber light uniform knocks that card off your list. Can we confirm that this Sallee has the more common back? Last edited by Brian Van Horn; 08-11-2009 at 10:28 PM. |

Thanks guys...
I have updated the E121 Series of 80 list of cards possibly exclusive to the first line on back ends in 'Eighty' back variation. I removed Faber w/light uniform and added the "Slim" Sallee w/no ball (thanks Brian) because quite frankly I had never seen that card before and makes me think it might be another exclusive ends in 'eighty' card. Bobby, can you confirm if the R. Meusel, Jack Quinn and the "Pat" Shea cards you mentioned have the more common first line on back ends with 'eighty of the'? (This back looks like the Jennings, Jacobsen and Faber cards posted earlier in thread by Kevin) If you can confirm, I will remove these cards as well. And hi Kevin M. you got that Elmer Miller card from me. Here is the updated list: "Rip" Collins "Mike" Gonzalez Harry Harper M.J. McNally R. Meusel Elmer Miller Jack Quinn John Rawlings "Slim" Sallee w/no ball "Pat" Shea (must have " ") Keep them coming brian |

Brian,
From what I am reviewing from your revised list, the three players that seem to have an exclusive pose for the "series of eighty" ending the first line are Collins, Gonzalez and Sallee. All of the other ones I have seen in the series of 120. |

I have Jeff Pfeffer with the Cardinals ending with eighty.
I also have his Dodgers variations with the more common back. Andy |
