My wife and I are going to spend next weekend in Atlanta. We plan to catch the Braves-Red Sox game Friday night, and then a little shopping Saturday.
I remember a while back there was a thread that mentioned a shop in ATL that had prewar cards, but I can't find the thread now. Does anyone know of any such shops in Atlanta? Thanks, Chris |

There is a fellow named Bob Pressly in Marietta who has a shop in the old part of downtown. He deals quite a bit in autographs. I'm not sure about cards. He could certainly put you in contact with everyone you should pay a visit to, however. I don't recall the name of his store; I'm sure someone here can give you that information.

I was thinking Mr. P sold off most of his stuff last year (I bought as much as I could afford through a local auction house), but not positive. I don't know of any prewar here in ATL, but I could be wrong as I don't get around town a whole lot.
If anyone else knows of anything, let me know too. Take care, Bob |

Thought it was called BP Sports,I still get emails on stuff they have for sale.
They seem to specialize in Braves stuff. |

Thanks guys. Oh well, looks like my wife gets a couple of extra yarn/knitting/smocking shops on the agenda during shopping time. (although she would have been happy at the card shop too...she is tougher on corners/edges than I am).

Hi Chris,
There are no real good vintage card stores in the Atlanta area. BP Sports rarely, if ever, has any cards that would catch the attention of anyone here. You can try and contact Dean Zindler. I've never done any business with him, but he usually has a good bit of stuff. That said, I'm 99% sure that he no longer has a storefront. The last email I have for him is dean@zindlers.com. Meanwhile, if you need any tips about where to eat or what to do while you are here, feel free to send us an email. Just address it to my attention and I'll be sure to respond. Between the Yankees and Sox, I'm going to be at the Stadium a good bit over the next six days. Take care, Ted |
