Hal is right- ebay gives REA incredible market exposure, but encourages bidders to register with the auction house. It's a wonderful way to reach out to a new universe of collectors and no one needs to get penalized if they register with the house. Great for consignors, too. (this is an unsolicited endorsement of my favorite auction)
