Also, from what I have read of the actual event, Joe D pretty much came straight to the event, didn't even talk to his own former teammates who were there for an old timers game, went stright to the field, did the ceremony, and went straight to his car which took him to the airport.

So if that sequence makes it unlikely that he signed anything at the event, it would leave only that it was signed at a later date. If that is the case, it was most likely done at a "sit down" type of event.

As Shelly and Ken have posted, they have seen many such sit down signatures and none looked like this one. Therefore it does seem that this is not an authentic signature of The Yankee Clipper, and I will advertise it as such.

I do have to also note, however, that the item was passed in full as authentic by JSA, even though it is believed that the Joe D is not.

Again, many thanks to everyone. It confirmed my own suspicions.
