Even the chrome cards from the 90s would most likely be 8-9s due to centering and surface scratches just from being handled and moved around over 20 years. |
Thanks for posting that thread, John. Very interesting, and a fun read. Looks like '87 Donruss in particular make for tough "10s", due to chronic centering issues and those black borders. Appreciate your insight, and have a new appreciation for gem mint grades among common cards.
