How do you foresee the bidding go on ending night? I understand that leaving the entire auction open until there are no bids gets some more bids for the company, and therefore some higher fees. However, I see no final price difference for auction houses that are totally bidder-friendly: Items close on a lot-by-lot basis! Also, I do like that if I am the only bidder at the closing of regular bidding, the item is mine. One auction house who always has items I like doesn't do that, and I often get beat at 3 am or something.
I'd also suggest only allowing bidders to bid after the original closing time if they have placed a bid on that item previously. This is nearly-universal, but not quite.
