In 1899, Ed Delahanty drove in
137 runs to lead the National League (NL). Also, he led the NL with a .410 BA and 238 hits.
This was his 12th year in the Major Leagues, and his performance would improve every year as he aged. This is remarkable
as only a few Baseball players have achieved this feat. An example is Babe Ruth, whose performance improved as he aged.
