I just saw where former Norfolk Tides manager Ron Johnson passed away from COVID-19 complications at age 64. He never got the credit he deserved for putting the Orioles needs ahead of keeping the Tides competitive. Who doesn't remember the pitching staff shuttle from Norfolk to Baltimore.
Ron was always great to talk to at spring training. He often would coach 1st base when Wayne Kirby was unavailable (split squad games, etc).
