Well done Robbie and Peter.
Jack Dunn is credited with discovering both Ruth and Grove.
Dunn had heard about George Ruth's play at the St. Mary’s Industrial School in Baltimore. The Orioles were then a minor league team, and Ruth was signed on as a 19 year-old pitcher. When the other players on the Orioles first saw Ruth, they nicknamed him “Jack’s newest babe” — and George became "Babe". (Some people say a sportswriter was the first to call George Ruth one of "Dunn's babes"). Either way, Ruth's nickname originated shortly after Dunn signed him.
