The only time I get upset at eBay auctions being posted prior to closing is when an item is listed improperly (in the wrong category, improperly spelled, etc.) and brought to the attention of others. That spoils the opportunity for a lucky or diligent individual to get a good deal on a card. Otherwise, I would have to believe that most of us scan the pre-1930 items daily. I cannot imagine anything listed in that category would receive much extra bidding simply by being mentioned on the board.
