That is a good one. LOL

But my story is absolutely true. A co-worker's son was about 20 or so, and very unsocial and nerdy, and possibly with some minor autism or other type mental issues, and apparently liked to just hang out on the internet at home all the time. He opened, and then after 2-1/2 minutes closed and never downloaded anything or went back to, some site he came across while surfing the internet. Turned out to be some site local authorities had set up just to catch people who were into kiddie porn. The boy's Mom, who I worked with, told me he wasn't into anything like that, or even into girls, dating, or cared about sex at all. He just came across the site and didn't know what it was, and left it after having opened and seeing it wasn't something of interest to him. Meanwhile, to add to the backstory, not long before that the head/chairman of the county chapter for one of the two major political parties (I'm not going to say which and make this political), and who was also a former County Commissioner, had been found out to have been actively soliciting and receiving bribes for political and other favors, along with numerous other illegal escapades. And the practice appeared to be pervasive and followed by quite a few cronies of the party's county chairman, with many rumors, followed by actual charges being levied against numerous elected/appointed county and local officials, and subsequent convictions. And that list of suspected dirty officials included the elected County Prosecutor at the time. This Prosecutor was pushing his supposed highly ethical character as a counter to the rumors of corrupt involvement along with others in his party by trying to demonstrate to the public he was tough on crime, and apparently used cases like my co-worker's son's case to publicize how he was such a good, upstanding official. He actually went ahead and apparently personally got involved in prosecuting my co-worker's son's case before the judge and jury, something the elected County Prosecutor in a large metropolitan area normally doesn't do, and instead leaves to their staff of assistants. And as a result this kid got eviscerated with a 5 year sentence, his life permanently tainted and ruined, his working class parent hit with over $40K in legal fees and costs they didn't have, all so a possibly (and most likely probably) corrupt public official could change the narrative and make himself look good and honest in the eyes of voters and others, and so as to also possibly help sway public sentiment so he didn't get indicted as well along with his other political cronies.

Now before any of you say he got what he deserved because a jury found him guilty, I knew his Mom, and would believe what she said over ANY of you.

The lesson to be learned though is to never even think of going into a questionable site like these porn sites, because you truly don't know what bad things can happen as a result.
