Interesting suggestions. There was a real push to change the game before the 1910 season since 1909 had been a deadly one. One of the major events was the death of Cadet Eugene Byrne from injuries sustained during a game with Harvard. Army cancelled the rest of its season.

The changes were ones that led to the modern game, no more handles on pants, and pushing players through the line, rule changes to allow more passing.

The lower envelope in this pair probably carried tickets to that game.
