boxingcardmanT225: issued in 2 non-overlapping series of 25 cards. Series 101 has grayish full bleed borders; series 102 has white borders. There are no known short prints or scarcities, although series 102 is much tougher to find than series 101. Series 101 is very condition-sensitive. Midgrade PSA/SGC cards (4-5-6) will fetch from $40-$100 depending on grade and player. Keys to series 101 are Jeffries, Attell, Jeannette, Ketchel. Series 102 has virtually no good fighters. Keys are O'Brien, Ty Cobb (not the ballplayer).
T220 White Borders: 50 cards, no short prints. Tolstoi backs are uncommon but not rare. Keys are Sullivan, Corbett, Dempsey, Fitzsimmons, Jeffries v. Sharkey, Sullivan v. Kilrain. You can put a set together readily in vg condition for about $500-$750. Higher grade costs more, obviously, as do the keys. A Tolstoi set would be some work.
T220 Silver Borders: 26 cards known (more may be discovered; I have confirmation on only 26). Mecca backs. Mike Donovan of Today has 1 known example. Keys are Corbett (Jas. J., not Young Corbett), Dempsey. Expect to pay substantially more for these cards in decent shape than for their white bordered bretheren. Nice examples have been selling for three figures.
