There is a fairly large $$ variance in price in the grades themselves and people bought cards thinking that they can bump that 6 to a 7. Now with the new half grade the risk is less for them because the increase in value if they don't get the 7 will be fine if they get the 6.5. So all these buyers looking to get the increase for resubmitting are lessening their risk. In a year or two from now the prices for each grade will be a lot more consistent and you wont see as much of a swing in values.
