Default Vintage lots - the pack opening excitement for vintage collectors?

I'm curious....does anyone else buy vintage lots?

You know the ones. They're labelled "Assorted baseball ephemera" or "uncounted lot of vintage cards".

I find myself buying them, when the price is right. Sometimes I gives me a bit of the thrill of opening a wax pack but for vintage cards.

It's easier to do with post-war than pre-war but I've gotten some nice pre-war lots too. I'm not expecting to get a Christy Mathewson or a Ty Cobb but I've had some interesting finds including a Baker B18 Blanket (the photo is one I found online because I'm too lazy to dig out mine).

Anyone else go for the uncounted lots?
