I take back what I said, or at least alter it. Did a little checking and he didn't play and sing everything on every one of his solo songs. On the album Runt he did have some bass and drum help. It's a figure of speech not meant literally. In other words, sure Rundgren may have been versatile, but the unquestionable master in that category is Winwood.
