Tony, he is a real mystery man. The 1911 Zeenut card is commonly referred to as "Buzz" Arlett but in fact that is "Pop" Arlett who played for Portland of the PCL in his first season of professional ball.
Buzz Arlett played 19 years in the minors. It looks like the native Minnesotan started as a pitcher and fielder, winning 29, 25, 22 and 19 games early in his career but he only pitched infrequently after that. He had one season in the majors and, as you said, did very well, but was back down to the minors where he toiled for the rest of his career. His career batting average in the minors was .341! It is indeed a mystery!
