Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame. He debuted with the New York Yankees in 1950. His best season was 1958 for Boston as he posted an OBP of .396 with 35 home runs and 122 RBI's in 654 plate appearances. He retired from baseball early due to his fear of flying and its increasing frequency and duration as teams moved west.
