Stopped by today and talked with Pedro Sierra (at the Philly show) who played for Oscar Charleston with the Indianapolis Clowns in 1954 (right before he died). He was one of the last players to be signed by a MLB team, but never made it to the majors. He came from Cuba at the age of 16 and played until his late 30s at various stops. Honestly, walking around the Philly show for a few hours, seeing all the great cards was a lot of fun, but talking with him for 20 minutes and getting a signed ball was definitely most memorable.
If anyone goes tomorrow look for him set up in the corner wearing a Detroit Stars uniform. Truly an experience I will not forget.
