This one puzzles me, as the item doesn't make a lot of sense. Ruth would have had to mail order something that could ship with a parcel tag from a butcher in Nova Scotia. Or maybe he sent home some of the catch from one of his hunting trips there? Otherwise there's no need for his address.
Unless the butcher decided to keep the tag from the mail order and wrote his own, there should be a stamp on the other side.

Hi Steve,
I purchased this from the original owner whose Great Grandfather owned the butcher shop. My understanding is that orders would be placed with name and address and then picked up.
