Default Removing 1941 Play Ball cards from a scrapbook

I recently acquired some 1941 Play Ball cards that were glued in a scrapbook. I realize that soaking tobacco era cards seems to work fine, but I'm wondering if anybody has had success with Play Balls, particularly '41s. I do have a few '41s (from a different lot) that appear to have been soaked successfully (to remove tape) and have a faint bleach-like smell. Any ideas?
