I thought there was a more concrete way to determine the difference. I've never seen a repro tag (I think), as all of mine have been sold to me by auctions, as being original.

Isn't the little string different somehow? I bet the colors aren't as rich on the new tags as well... the red background looks more "stark" to me (in the pictures I've seen).
