Yes, there are two different Ruth cards. The front is exactly the same on the 1927 variety but the reverse side shows two distinct differences: (1) the copyright date and (2) the second line of text which reads "Had hit 356 to start of 1927" instead of "Has hit 356 homers to date."

The only known example of the 1927 Spalding Ruth (SGC 50) sold for about $1600 in August of 2003, although I suspect the value would be somewhat higher today. I would estimate a 1926 Ruth would sell for approximately $400 to $500 in that same condition.
