He did something stupid like kicking through a wall or something like that and broke his foot and was never the same. But yes, he has been a mediocre, but pretty reliable, reliever since. There's probably a lot of guys who take his "strange" 18 year pro career though.

i believe right after the trade was announced he asked if he could still pitch for the old team and they told him no, you have to go to the new team before you can pitch again in a game
