I know I'm changing gears a bit, but as long we have this thread on the Beatles, has anyone else on the board ever seen them in person? I attended two Beatles concerts- On September 20, 1964 at the Paramount Theatre in NYC; and on August 23, 1966 at Shea Stadium.
I also saw in the paper today that one of the original Quarrymen died the other day- Eric Griffiths, who played with John and Paul from 1957-58 before leaving the band. I'm a bit of a Beatle historian, so the obit was of interest to me.
