I agree with Topcat's appreciation of the Southworth picture. I had not seen that picture. I'm glad Southworth Sr made his way in the Hall. Southworth Jr died in a training flight, piloting a B-29. He had already completed 25 missions as a bomber pilot earlier in WW II having earned a Distinguished Flying Cross. Jr played baseball at Ohio State, and had played in the Cardinals' minor league system.

Now about that Roy Ellam RPPC, I've not ever seen one of those, Thanks for posting that. So Roy played a tiny bit for Cincy at Pittsburg. And when the white border cards came out Roy had not ever played for Nashville. But a few years afterwards he did sign with the Nashville Vols and played there several years. Maybe someone with American Litho had a premonition... Or someone with the Southern Association was inclined to deem that white border card a prophecy. Who knows? Thank you all!
