Default D (Bread) Issues - Ratings

Posted By: leon

You are correct on both cases. Yes, it's the same set as E101, as retailers just put a stamp on the back. Yes, Jeff Burdick, classified them as D355....so they are D355 as a catalogued set. I have seen 1 of them that was in a Lipset auction. A board member got it and sold/traded it to another board member around a year ago. I have been begging that board member for it since he got it . Begging isn't working....There are more, I believe, as there are several checklisted in different places....but heck if I know where. As everything goes another will eventually show up. My guess is that whomever has them might not know what they are, except for a caramel card with a pesky purple mark on the back....sort of like the handful of others with pesky marks (overprints)....As for the ratings of scarcity I think the initial order pretty close with a few that could be interchanged....Tarzan's are really tough. I would probably put them at #2. regards
