[QUOTE=rholmes;2174348]It's been a long time since I've posted a card pickup (mostly photos etc these days), but I did get these two guys recently. 1886 Red Stocking Cigar trade cards of Radbourn and Morrill. Taken out of a Boston-area scrapbook, they have sadly been trimmed down quite a bit. Each measures about 5-1/2" x 2.5". As issued they should be 6-1/2" x 3-3/4", so approximately 75% of each card is still present. But the Radbourn I believe is his rookie card, so 75% is better than none.

Any opinions as to whether or not SGC or PSA will authenticate these with the heavy trim? They are definitely (IMO) real RS Cigar cards. Notice around the edges front and back the small bits of red text still left, which align perfectly with the text on the full 1886 cards.

I would think you'd be okay with SGC. Years ago I had some equally heavily trimmed tobacco/cigar cards from a couple different obscure and very rare 1880's cigar card issues as well. They had no problem encapsulating and marking them all as "A" for me. And unless something has drastictly changed with them over the past several years, would assume they can do the same for you. No experience or clue regarding how PSA would handle them though.

Those look amazing by the way. Good luck.
