I have great respect for you and praise you on your contribution to this Forum
In fact I think it is among the best of anyone on here (with deference to Leon)
But I think your comments with regards to “throwing in the towel” on game used is a bit naïve
There are plenty of problems much closer to home
In my opinion, the greatest problems of baseball forgery in terms of big dollar pieces being sold is in the Pete Nash stuff
This garbage has been sold for years in the major auctions
When are we going to turn our gaze towards that hornet’s nest?
Pieces selling for half a million dollars and nothing is questioned
Trophy balls coming out of the woodwork like locusts
The Cartwright Collection?
I have been talking about this stuff for years and no one seems to want to listen
