You're right. It would've been better to tell the kids: "If you hear the sirens go off, don't bother to do anything, because you will be burned alive, but it will be quick. The temperatures will be so hot that your charred bodies will be almost impossible to identify, so please remain at your desks to help survivors figure out who you were."
