What Irv stated was my understanding of the set as well. The early 1-48 series was sold in 1941, and those are found with the copyright 1941 date on back. Then in 1942 there were 72 cards produced (all without the copyright date on back.) Thus all cards 49-72 are found without the copyright, and cards 1-48 can be found with or without them. The fact that there were 2 printings of 1-48 is what makes them easier to find than the cards #ed 49-72.
