Default Fewer junk wax out there...

I, like many of you, will buy a few boxes of wax junk from time to time to relive some childhood memories. Over the weekend I bought a 1988 Topps rack pack box and a 1990 Donruss wax box from my local card shop.

About 4 packs into the Donruss I was wondering why I had wasted my $5 on the box. I couldn't even completed the Yaz puzzle either. Threw all of the cards away, which is what I typically do rather than keep piles of crap. I've probably thrown away a case worth of 80s/90s wax junk - you're welcome.

The 1988 Topps box was more fun. I always thought the design was pretty solid and simple. There's something about crisp white borders; perhaps that's what drew me to T206s as well. Anyway, I pulled two Glavine RCs and a few would-be 10s of the typical HOFs and stars. And yes, the rest went straight into the trash.

At any rate, just felt like sharing. Perhaps in another 30 years this stuff might actually become desirable again, for reasons other than cheap weekend entertainment.
